１．歴史という「根」と、自由という「翼」
神聖ケルト派カトリック教会国際連盟（HCCI）は、初代教会から連綿と受け継がれてきた「使徒継承（Apostolic Succession）」という聖なる伝統の中にその身を置いています。私たちは、ローマ・カトリック教会の行政組織からは独立していますが、聖職者が授かる霊的な権威の系統において、歴史的正統性を保持しています。

２．使徒継承：途切れることのない霊的系譜
使徒継承とは、主イエス・キリストから使徒たちへ、そして歴代の司教たちの手を通じた「按手」によって受け継がれてきた霊的な血筋です。
私たちの教会を導く Holy Celtic Church International (HCCI) のベイト猊下（Rt Revd Dom Alistair Bate）は、以下のような複数の正統な系統を継承しています。

これらの系譜は、当教会の叙階式や聖体拝領が、歴史的なキリスト教会と同一の霊的な効力を有することを証明するものです。

３．「有効だが独立した」存在として
私たちは、いわゆる「新興宗教」ではありません。歴史的教会法において「Valid but Illicit（有効ではあるが、教皇の管轄下にはない）」と表現される立場を堅持しています。これは、バチカンの統治下にはないものの、キリスト教の秘跡（サクラメント）を執行する正当な権限を有していることを意味します。

1. “Roots” of History and “Wings” of Freedom
The Holy Celtic Church International (HCCI) is situated within the sacred tradition of “Apostolic Succession,” handed down continuously since the Early Church. While we are independent of the administrative structure of the Roman Catholic Church, we maintain historical legitimacy through the lineage of spiritual authority bestowed upon our clergy.

2. Apostolic Succession: An Unbroken Spiritual Lineage
Apostolic Succession is the spiritual lineage transmitted from the Lord Jesus Christ to the Apostles, and through the “Laying on of Hands” by successive bishops throughout history.
Our presiding bishop of the Holy Celtic Church International (HCCI), the Rt. Revd. Dom Alistair Bate, holds multiple valid lines of succession, including:
a. A Roman Catholic line of Succession
b. Mariavite Succession
c. Hebraic-Celtic Succession
d. Irish Lines of Succession
e. Liberal Catholic Succession
f. An Eastern Orthodox Line of Succession
These lineages verify that our ordinations and Eucharist possess the same spiritual validity as those of the historical Christian churches.

3. As a “Valid but Independent” Presence
We are not a “new religious movement.” We adhere to the position defined in historical canon law as “Valid but Illicit” (valid in substance, but outside the jurisdiction of the Papacy). This signifies that while we are not under the governance of the Vatican, we possess the legitimate authority to administer the Christian Sacraments.
